Join us for the Truckee-Tahoe premiere of "Play Again," an emotionally moving and humorous documentary that shares highlights from six teenagers who "unplug" during a wilderness adventure. Through the voices of children, journalist Richard Louv, an environmental writer, educators, a neuroscientist, parks advocate and geneticist, this film investigates the consequences of a childhood removed from nature and encourages action for a sustainable future.
Guest speaker Dr. Barbara Schneider will share insights gleaned from her research and outdoor education experiences as well as highlight the positive cognitive, emotional and social impacts from outdoor play.
Please note: The movie is appropriate for mature students. Teens are welcome (seventh grade and above). Delicious snacks prepared by Stella are included.
